9/14/14 SIMS 3 PROBLEMS: PLEASE HELP!

Everytime I go to open Sims 3 it always tells me I have the same update.

If I hit update, it downloads and then asks me again. My game never actually updates.

Then if/when I get into the game, my sims will age 1 day and then my aging freezes.

Also, after 4 generations, my family tree stops working. 

I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY HELP, TIPS, and ADVICE!
