thanks for replying. My base game is patched to 1.67. However, I could only patch ambitions to 4.5 because there was a downloading error on patch 4.6. I'm still not sure though why it wont work. I bought both games, base game and ambitions through origin via pc download. they both installed fine. It's just now when I try to click my base game to play ambitions, the game will not launch. the launcher disappears but nothing happens. Is there anything else that could be causing this problem? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
Now that we have origin you don't need to patch any EP's only that the base game is patched to 1.67.. Were you trying to patch ambitions manually? If so you don't need to do that. This maybe your problem.
Scroll down to the bottom of the web it will tell you how to uninstall ambitions only manually

Then do a clean install and dont patch ambitions.

Hi. I uninstalled ambitions and reinstalled it minus the updates to it. I click on the sims 3 launcher button and nothing happens. the game never loads. I'm just inclined to believe the ep just don't like my computer and I don't know why. I can play the base game. I haven't had any error messages...At least with an error message you have an idea of what 's causing the problem. I am just really confused with it.
