There are nude tops that are ok. I know of a few. They will probably get packed with quite a few sims for they are probably all categorized for naked but they won't give you monster sims as the ones on my list do.
When you are sharing sims you should learn how to use Custard to check all your uploads for any undesirable things that get packed with your sim (see link to glitzys tutorial in the first post.
I don't think those do any other harm or effect on other cc and it will not harm your PC in general.
I don't know about other downloads out there for there are so many and so many different errors caused by them. If you want to make sure that you don't have any error, don't use cc, especially not any sims or houses that you find on the net.
