Same here but worse. I get serious error on worlds, sets, compilations and venues. a few small stand-alone objects download successfully. Premium objects do not. I have cleared the IE cache and even launched the game without a Sims 3 folder to make the game create a new folder.

!S.O.S, Save Our Sims! My wife and I have been trying to crack this nut for a full day now. Every time she loads into a world, there is a message stating "Serious Error Occurred" and then states the name of the save/world that is being loaded. We have tried renaming the game folder to "Sims 3 Old" in hopes that it will install a fresh version, we've cleared the cache, I've updated her drivers, disabled OneDrive, pretty much anything we can find in the forums we've tried. She does have a lot of expansions, so that might be the issue, no clue. The expansions are as follows: 70's, 80's, 90's Stuff, Ambitions, Fast Lane Stuff, Generations, High End Loft Stuff, Island Paradise, Late Night, Master Suite Stuff, Outdoor Living, Pets and Seasons.

I've also tried running as administrator and changing Controlled Folder Access in the security settings.

Does the error occur in a specific game save? If it does, then move the save out of the Saves folder and try the backup.
Aemerys ColoredBaby Please list the location of the Documents directory on your computer. (You'll have several Documents folders, but only one per user is designated as the directory.) Search in Windows for Command Prompt, open it, and enter this command:
reg query "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders" /v "Personal"
Then post the result. You can write [username] instead of your actual username if you want, but please leave the rest intact.
ColoredBaby I'd also be curious whether disabling Controlled Folder Access fixes the issue. You don't have to leave it disabled if you don't want to; this is just for testing purposes.
hippobabe It sounds like your issue is different or that you have multiple issues. There's no "serious error" associated with downloading anything, at least not in the English version; this is only about trying to load a new or existing save. For the Store stuff, please create your own thread describing the problem, and post a screenshot of the error you're seeing.

What do you mean by Document directory? I entered the command and this is the result:
C:\Users\username> HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders" /v "Personal
The system cannot find the path specified.
Thank you for your help!!!
Aemerys The command starts with reg query. It looks like you only entered the part after that.
The point about the Documents directory is that while there are a number of Documents folders on your computer, only one has this special designation, and many programs are designed to use this location, whatever it happens to be. If they can't access it, or that access is limited (for example by OneDrive trying to sync data, or by an antivirus), the programs in question may not function correctly.
