Sugar Rush happens after you eat 4 or 5 gumballs in a row. There's also a risk of getting nauseous from the action.
The other two only happen when you have the Evil or Technophobic trait. Those traits open up more options for the Gumball machine, like sabotage and Kick the Machine. Don't know if having the Rebel trait from Generations will do the same thing.
