Can I move my game folder to a new laptop on scan disk?

I bought a new laptop on black Friday for Sims game g only since my current laptop is lagging. I already downloaded origin onto my new laptop, I just need to transfer my Electronic Arts folder over to...

I have transferred The Sims 3 game folder to other computers using USB thumb drives and an external drive. I don't see why you couldn't use a Sandisk SD card, memory card, or flash drive as long as it has enough space for your folder and you have a slot for it on both machines. They are all used to store and retrieve files.
