Re: "You don't have access" error

Hi ! I have probably owned the sims 3 on the app for approx. 5 years or so but I never have rly played it b/c it just gives me trouble. I decided to go into my library to download it yesterday (last time I had it installed was in Sep. of 2025) and it didn't do anything until I got an error message (shown below) saying "You don't have access: We've canceled the download because you don't own this game. To play, go to the game hub to get the game". I do own the game and it's ran before many times, I have around 60 or so hours on it, and it has always been in the library and STILL IS. I don't know what the game hub is but i looked up the sims 3 on the app and it still says "owned".  I looked around and I don't see people with my exact problem so that's why I am posting it here. 

some more details

  • I own 2 dlc but I don't want them installed so this problem occurs when downloading base game. I have also tried downloading with the dlc but it does the same thing
  • I own the sims 4 and so I tried downloading it base game to be sure it's just the sims 3 that's the problem, the sims 4 works.
  • I cleared my cache through the app and also through my windows computer itself and it didn't do anything
  • I own an hp laptop, I don't know much about computers and stuff so a pic of some of the specs are down below
  • I restarted my laptop and it's updated (windows 11)
  • I also uninstalled the EA app and reinstalled it (its up to date)
  • I did a report on the app yesterday but I don't know if I'll get anything back and I wasn't very detailed.
