Can't find previously purchased content on my account

Hey, I decided to go back to Sims 3 after not playing it in forever, and after having "upgraded" from Origin to the EA app, suddenly my previously-owned Dragon Valley is no longer anywhere on my account. I've gone through my order history and didn't see it specifically, but have a couple of "placeholder" items. It was probably my favorite world to play in, and I'm annoyed that it's just vanished into the ether and there's no way I can find to actually contact EA about this.

Anyone that can help or at least show me some secret hidden way to actually contact them to resolve this?

  • @Stormfeather  Does the content show as owned on the Store site, under Store > My Store Account > Purchase History?  What about on the items' product pages?  For example, Dragon Valley is listed in my purchase history, where I can download it, but on its product page, it says I have to buy it.  This is inconvenient but not unworkable.  Point is, please check both places and let me know what you find.

I only have two things under "purchase history" on the store, graham's pet store and the plants vs. zombies stuff. The Dragon Valley store page just prompts me to buy it.

Part of the issue may be that at some point I had two separate accounts which was annoying, I talked to support (which you could actually reach back in those days), and they merged the two accounts. I'm wondering/worried that it may have been lost in that shuffle, although I had definitely played in Dragon Valley a lot since then.

@Stormfeather  It does sound like this is a side effect of the account merge.  Store content can't be transferred from one account to another, including during a merge, so if your now-defunct account owned all the items, they're gone, unfortunately.

Thanks for the info. That is incredibly lame (and weird that I was able to still keep using it), and just wrong (in a moral sense, not you being correct) but I'll take it up when I feel like beating my head against offical EA-dom. Thanks!

    Hi @Stormfeather

When you merge two separate accounts together, any purchased or extra content from TheSims3.com will not transfer over and will be inaccessible- this means Worlds as well like Dragon Valley.

You should have received this disclaimer prior to merging your accounts:

If you play The Sims 3 and have purchased Worlds for your game, the Worlds and any game saves you have with Worlds will be inaccessible. That means you will not be able to play any of your game saves and would need to create new ones without Worlds to play your game.

LOL I didn't get any sort of disclaimer. I was simply talking to a support person IIRC about something and they said they could do it.

I also was absolutely able to continue playing in Dragon Valley up to the point where I switched computers, so that doesn't appear to be the issue.
