Can't install a The Sims 3 world
Hello! I play The Sims 3. I purchased the world called Roaring Heights for my game off Origin and downloaded it. When I installed it using the launcher, everuthing seemed fine except the fact that the kind of file was stated as an object, not a world (even though the file size is a few times larger than even Riverview so it's clearly a world). But when I opened the game I didn't see there the world nor the objects that came with it. I opened the launcher again and saw that Roaring Heights was uninstalled again. I installed it, opened the game again and saw the text "New content has been installed". The world wasn't there, though. I've done the same thing a few more times, deleted and redownloaded the file but the problem keeps appearing. I also checked the folder (package?) called InstalledWorlds and saw there like 6 copies of Roaring Heights.world under different numbers (must be one copy for each time I installed). I tried deleting those and installing the world again but that didn't work at all. I would really appreciate if anyone has any ideas on how I might be able to fix the problem or at least get my money back. Also, I'm sorry if I made any mistakes given that English isn't my native language =)
@moooonlighty Try installing the world into a clean user data folder. Move your entire Sims 3 folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, open the launcher to spawn a new folder, and download Roaring Heights from the store. Install it, but nothing else, and see whether it shows up in-game. Let me know either way. And if it does work, please quit, restart your computer, and test again, just to make sure it stays installed.
