Ok...finally found and updated the graphics.
this still has not resolved the installation error issue.
Try installing IE 9 and make that your default browser.

Okay, I tried to installed IE 9 but it wouldn't because there is a more recent version installed.
I don't understand how that would cause a problem after installing all the other stuff packs and expansion packs without any problems. Why now with this particular stuff pack?
Don't know either but since for some this issue is solved by changing the default browser to IE and I know that the game sometimes has troubles with IE10, I thought it might help.
Pity it doesn't let you install you IE9.
Unfortuantely, Service Pack 1 (which you have) and the browser thing are the only two things I found on the net to solve this issue.
EDIT: One more thing I see hasn't been mentioned: Did you try running the setup as administartor ?
Yes. I have Origin in administrator setting and the browsers. What about uninstalling all the IE stuff and then reinstalling it again? But I am not sure what it is called in my control panel. Is it Microsoft Visual C++... or something else. I am not sure. I have had problems with IE crashing for the past several months and I am not sure why. But I wasn't sure what it was called. That very well could be the solution.
In the error message it states, IE Version: 9.0.8112......isn't that IE 9? Does that mean it wants to use IE 9 or that I am using it?
