I am playing the Sims 3 on Mac. I cannot interact with the bugs in Egypt, even though I have the adventure activated, nor can I interact with the ocean :-( is there a mod I can download or sometime I can tweak so I can play?

For the bugs, you could buy (including in buydebug) a Harvester from Ambitions. For the ocean, sometimes it works to click through another surface, for example an umbrella or the bottom of a boat.
I don't know of any mod that fixes either problem, and it might not be possible through traditional modding, as these both seem to be due to some issue with the world layering rather than a missing feature.
