Hey. I have a MacBook and bought the game.
But it says :
Your The Sims 3 Base Game is incompatible with the current Sims 3 Expansion Pack. Please update your game via the game launch
Can someone help me?
Arinaharii This is a known error typically solved by deleting Version.tag in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3. However, you shouldn't have this file on a new computer, unless you ported over your old Sims 3 data or iCloud Drive is syncing it. Is either the case? You can still delete the file, but with iCloud Drive, you'll need to make sure it doesn't redownload before you have a chance to play again. The easy way is to sign into the EA App, put it in offline mode, take your computer offline, then delete the file and try to play.
If you can't find a Version.tag file, search for it using Terminal, which is in Applications > Utilities. Inside Terminal, copy and paste this command, and enter:
find / -name "Version.tag" 2>/dev/null
and post the result(s) here.

I have tried this, but I still get the same message after deleting the file.
AAretsord Are you the same person who posted initially? I ask because of the different username.
If you are the same person, or you're not but you get exactly the same error and you have a Mac, please run the Terminal command I described above and post the results. It's possible there's another Version.tag hiding somewhere.
