[Current Issue] Sims 3 "serious error" when loading save

I cannot play the game since the update when before it was running perfectly. I don't have any mods. I have a new dell gaming laptop with a AMD Ryzen processor and a Nvidia graphics card. It loads all the way to the launcher and everytime I select the game it tells me there's a critical error and that I need to close the game.
