I have ran just about all of the troubleshooting possible. I have no save files, and this is on a fresh install of the game.

I'm having the exact issue. i think it may have something to do with the latest Windows update. I'm so bummed EA had just fixed my game and I made my family and now I cant play them....Sad lonely Sims hoping for solution soon!
