Hello,
I've been having problems loading my saves (all of them) for since the weekend. I played fine end of last week, then started getting this message when loading any of my saves, and evening trying to start a new one. I did wonder if it was linked to one drive as I do remember pressing a back up button at some point on start up one day (whether it was before or after I'd last played I can't quite remember).
Anyway I have since unlinked my pc and quit one drive still having this issue. I have looked at this post here [Current Issue] Sims 3 "serious error" when loading save | EA Forums - 8322938
and when trying the command prompt "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders" /v "Personal"
I get a message saying - The system cannot find the path specified.
So I'm a bit confused at what to try next. I have tried repairing the game and also putting old after sims 3 loading launcher and trying again (still same issue - only think I did do was merge the folders with mods, I didn't try and create new sims 3 folder and start it up)
Any help appreciated , I'm a bit of a nervous about trying things on my own as don't want to mess anything up to much!
Using a Windows 11 - version 24H2. Processer - 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12450H 2.50 GHz
if thats any use!
Thanks
Edit: Even though I seem to have removed one drive my file path for sims is still saying: "C:\Users\louis\OneDrive\Documents\Electronic Arts"
louise199360 I hadn't seen that problem before, so I had to look it up. Try this:
