Did not work. I have started to believe it has something to do with my Router and not Origin - as some YouTube videos won't load either (not all but some). That happens to all devices connected to my network. I've fiddled with firewalls and MTU's and add-ons and all. . .
So £100 new router is probably the only way to go :/
awwww a ton for a router has argos any special offers might tide you over untill you can get the more expensive one
tried putting the cable in the wall (by-passing the router) - still the same issue. So calling my service provider. Ugghh. .. .

That fixed everything! My service provider has not even been able to figure it out for weeks why some stuff works and some stuff wont - but this fixed it! Fantastic! Not only did the download of Sims 3 work properly, but the YouTube-vids that work in my office but never at home started working without any problems! Thank you so much! 🙂
