Do purchases use your EA account balance before using a credit card? I would assume so, but don't really have the extra money to try it myself. I have $60 in the account I need to convert to Simpoints because it wouldn't let me directly redeem the cash card on thesims3.com (I've been trying for well over a week, so I just put them in my EA account). Please let me know ASAP! 🙂
you can buy simpoints with your EA balance choose “Pay with your EA Account Balance” which will then also tell you the balance on your account. Please note! Your balance must meet or exceed your purchase amount. You cannot use your account balance and a different method of payment. This is true for Origin as well as the Sims site. so i would daresay in your case buy for example the $40 worth of simpoints then a $10 worth just wait to make sure the first purchase goes through as the site can be problamatic with loading etc
