This problem needs to be dealt with soon, otherwise people can't properly edit worlds anymore unless they use a Steam version of the game.

From what I'm reading over at the Steam forums, the CAW hack of editing the registry doesn't work anymore for some players now.
The issue is so dire that I posted a new thread, because it seems as if all adding to this one does is allow the issue to be swept under the rug. You're right--this has to be dealt with soon because this is literally anti-consumer. Many of us wouldn't have put more money than we did into the game if it hadn't been for CAW. The reason why I wound up buying Showtime and IP is that I wanted to build more Bridgeport-style worlds with venues and content that were more to my liking. Now, apparently, the money I spent has been flushed down the toilet, since I only got into IP this year after a long hiatus from the game (I had hardware issues, as well as got sick and lost a family member). So, people like me are being punished because real life beckoned and we couldn't be on the same time table as everyone else?
Normally, I don't complain like this but I am, because EA App isn't a beta release. It's the official release. All of these issues should've been anticipated and fixed by now, and to put out a release that's broken functionality for a product that we paid for is unethical.
