No problem, I hope you'll be successful and that this problem goes away soon!
I took out the TS3 documents folder and let the game create a new fresh one. Then I installed all of my store content, deleted the cache files that are safe to get rid of (there are guides online, but maybe backup first to be safe), and copied it to my storage.
If you already have everything installed and working I think the installed store content is in the DCCache folder, premium content in DCBackup (ccmerged.package) and the worlds in InstalledWorlds. You could probably just copy the folders/files needed and replace them in any new TS3 documents folder. But I would double check which ones and backup along the way since I'm not an expert and only did it the way I first described.
You can backup everything and add to this base folder, collections, mods/cc, saves, library. So you'll always have a fresh brand new start instantly if something goes wrong, but with all of your content available. Saves a lot of time when dealing with issues like error 16 and whatever else.
@Qu4s1m0doS Heya!
Just to say that I tried the no mod or store content and also ran it in compatibility mode (windows 8) and I could save every time! but when I went to shang simla that i got thrown a error 16 but when I deleted the bad save I could save again and then again after playing it for awhile.
@puzzlezaddict You may be onto something with the mods and store content making the user file big but I will try at some point to add stuff in a little at a time and see how it goes.
But its so weird that mods/ store content may be causing this issue as before that specific update everything was fine? 🤔

@Simsfan101 awesome!
Just an update, I played for a bit today and did not get an error 16 message! Not once. I know I will most likely get an error 16 popup from time to time but I'd rather that then have that issue pop up everytime I play.
So for now I'm gonna play my game with no mods and store content for the foreseeable future until I can find a more permanent fix for this issue!
Thank you everyone for their help! This thread has been super helpful!
- 3 years ago@PandaLover1698 I tried just running with compatibility mode (windows 8) and mods and I don't really get the message anymore! I get it time to time but I try and save again and it works! I would recommend trying mods! The only ones I use is to make the game smoother and to fix some minor problems! Thank you for letting me know about your solution, this thread has been great!

What I will do is just try with just nraas mods! And see how it goes and then if it's jot too bad I might add some of my store content!
@Qu4s1m0doS have you tried playing your game in compatability mode windows 8?
