Hi, I am having similar issues. My Game (just one aprticular family) freezes for 8 seconds every 30 seconds. Rendering this game totally unplayable. However the music, the water etc all carry on moving. The sims however are totally unresponsive and my mouse is completely usesless. For 8 seconds.
My Laptop is BRAND NEW. I bought it as I was told it was perfect for gaming.... Its a TOSHIBA SATELLITE P850-138. It is supposed to have a DEDICATED NVIDIA GRAHPICS CARDS except when I run the DXDIAG it comes up with Intel graphics 3000 ????
Why is this? If my laptop is meant to have a graphics card with its own memory that can kick some gaming butt then why is my laptop showing thats its running off the lame integrated graphics? I have tried manually changing this to no avail. I don't know who to blame.... EA? Toshiba? My poor frozen sims?!
I just want to play my game. I have tried everything and refuse to buy another graphics card... there is supposed to be one in here somewhere?
I have contact ea, like 8 times, I am a complete pest, and they give me the same responses. Nothing works. then they vanish..... Maybe they froze too???
I am willing to try anything, a Magic "Unfreeze your sim Dance" or holding my breath for exactly 33 seconds whilst eating a tuna sandwich. I don't care!

I have the exact same laptop as the person who posted last, Toshiba Satellite P850-138 and have just installed seasons, everything was going fine until I hit winter time and it started to snow, game crashes after about 2-3 mnutes of snow. I've tried deleting the cache files, re-starting my computer and starting a new game, but the same thing happens, I get to winter time (snow) and my game crashes out
Any help would be appreciated
