Hello. For me the Startup works fine, but the problem is that when I started the game and opened the menu for the households etc, there's a text saying that the game disc is not in... I've tried to restart the game but it doesn't work... What should I do?

Well it might be annoying but it's the truth. I don't work for EA, I have no insight into the games code and I just try to find solutions around the net and put them in one place. AnswerHQ is about users helping users and that's all I am and most other helpers here. I'm sorry if the solutions provided don't help you.

I have been having this problem all day but I believe I have found a soulution. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IyKMnpKHGg8This video pretty much summed everything up on what I was doing wrong or missing. It may not help everyone, but I hope it can solve some problems.

Please open your own thread with as much info as possible.
Are you using download or DVD version, which disc does it want, etc.

I did everything you said and my gives me the same error message everytime it updates or when i install the sims3 pets

CAW = Create a World
CAP = Create a Pattern
Those are both free tools availble on the official Sims 3 Website.

I updated The Base Game, and when I try to start the game it comes up "An error occurred while starting. Check the log for details". And I've tried everything on your list
