Game keeps crashing & not enough virtual memory. Windows 8.1 problem?

Ever since I updated to Windows 8.1, The Sims 3 keeps crashing and stopping because it says I'm low on virtual memory. This makes no sense as I believe I have more than enough as my RAM is still quit...

VItual Memory has nothing to do with RAM. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_memory
