Help! After changing some setting to Administrator, Sims 3 won't run :'(
Hi!
It seems I have made a mess myself and now the Sims 3 won't launch. I have the Dutshess'(?) TS3W Patch and have been starting my game trough the according launcher. I have an older laptop and playing Sims3 would always be laggy, so I have tried a lot of tips, mods and what not. Lately my game would give me and Error12 while saving and I've read it's due to low RAM. Is it possible that while growing my city and creating more and more families the game takes up more and more RAM? I only have 8 GB and have dedicated 4 to the game. But I could play shorter and shorter periods of sim time, and lately having to save one sims day at a time after which having to quit and restart the game (and wait 20+ minutes while it loads). Otherwise I'd get the Error12 -message and loose everything I've done. So I'm always searching for ways to make playing less frustrating. Yesterday I was trying to stop all unneeded programms trough the ... my computer isn't in English... task manager? Then I went to see what processes I could exit in my 360 Total Security and came across Game booster. I added TS3 and TS3W there and I can't remember where else I digged around too, but somewhere I found an option I've been trying to find for a long time, but didn't know where it was: run as administrator (again, my Windows isn't in English). But I lost the last game since I got the Error12 again.
So, today I can't start the game. We usually do a dance with Windows, the Patch launcher, EA app and Patch launcher again: I start the Patch launcher, Windows asks whether I want to allow it to make changes on my computer and I press OK. The Sims 3 Game Launcher opens up, I press the big Play button and it crashes and goes to the EA app. I close it and restart the Patch launcher and press the Play button and the game starts. But today after The Sims 3 Game launcher opened and I pressed the Play button, a message from Windows ... User Control? pops up and asks me whether I allow this application to make changes to my computer (just like it asks me the first time I open up the Patch launcher (only the message background colour is in blue, when for the Patch launcher it's always yellow)). I was surprised and pressed OK. And it crashed and went to the EA app. Then the EA app disappears and The Sims 3 Game Launcher appears. I press the Play button, the message from User Control(?) appears and asks me again, if I allow for this application to make changes. I press OK again. The Sims 3 Game Launcher disappears and the EA app appears and disappears and The Sims 3 Game launcher appears again. And round in circles like that we go.
I've removed both TS3 and TS3W from 360 Total securitys Game booster, but can't find for the life of me the place where I pressed "run as administrator". It wasn't when you right click on an app and there's an option with the shield there saying "run as administrator". There was a simple looking white window and boxes to check and one of them had the "run as administrator" and I checked it. And I don't think I went there trought right clicking any TS3s or what ever.
I wanted to try adding TS3 and/or TS3W to allowed applications in Windows Security, but I only have 360 Total security information there??? Like the 360 Total security has overruled Windows Security? I'll add a screenshot just in case?
I don't think there were any updates on my Windows yesterday either. I'm using Windows 10. So nothing has really changed but that Administrator thing. Does anyone know where it could be, PLEASE? TT_TT
