If you've been doing it for a while, you might need to step away then come back to it. I haven't been feeling to well so not on much today. But if you want help I can be on tomorrow evening sometime after 7 pm. I can help you then if you want. If so, please leave your info so I know what I'm working with. (OS and the version, whether or not you're fully patched, games you have, if you've previously had cc/mod installed the old way, if you have anything with a monkey installed). I'll check back after work tomorrow.
Oh thanks I really need help(obviously  )I have windows 7. I'm pretty sure I'm fully patched as I had my game in auto updates, that is until I started to try this. I only have the base game. I have installed CC before but not the "right" way. I actually used to get my CC from TSR  and the stuff automatically went to the launcher for me to install thought it was easy till it destoyed my game. Thanks for trying to help hope I'm not a huge burden while your not feeling well.
Okay home now, I'm feeling much better, and tomorrow is my Friday... Yay!!!
So you have Win7 and that should come with MS .NET Framework already installed for your OS. If you have only the base game and you want to install your cc the "new way" under Documents, you must have patch/updates to at least Game Update for 1.12/2.7/3.3 released 05/28/2010. I don't do TSR (risky), but I do believe they have (.sims3pack) and (.package) files.
(.sims3pack) files match the files extension on content from the store/exchange and must be placed in the Downloads folder, show on the Downloads tab in the launcher, and MUST BE installed via the launcher.
(.package) files are placed in the Mods/Packages folder and DO NOT need to be installed via the launcher.
So tell me how you have your framework setup. You can post a picture as long as you don't break the thread. Try to make sure you have detailed view on your folders so I can read the entire folder name along with the extension. If you have the extensions turned off, turn them back on.
