Game Seemingly Incompatible with Mod the Sims Content?
I know the title is a little strange, but I'm honestly not sure how else to describe the issue. Whenever I put my mods folder in the Sims 3 folder, I get a black screen on launch that never progresses into the main menu and can only be closed with the task manager. My mods are organized by where they were downloaded from, so I was able to discern that something from Mod the Sims is the problem, since the game opens just fine with all the other mods whenever the mod the sims folder is removed. However, no matter how many mods I weed out, nothing seems to work except removing the content entirely. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue where you had trouble downloading from a specific website? I've used mod the sims in the past, so I'm not sure why this has become an issue this time around. It's very frustrating, and I'm wondering if there's something obvious that I'm missing? Also, it might be helpful to know that I've installed all the Sims 3 Store content, and I've also made extensive use of the mods / cc dashboard tool. I have no corrupt files, and I've tried to eliminate all conflicts, but that doesn't seem to help. Any advice would be appreciated!
Stinky Npcs
I have recently got back into playing Sims 3. Having a lot of fun and game runs well. Of course there are things that were never fixed. The new issue I am having is Npcs not showering. Both at university and in the home world. My controlled Sims can use the shower just fine though it's way to fast. Which is another bug. But for whatever reason Npcs won't shower inside. I've tried replacing the shower and making sure it's routable. I even had a roommate catch fire and they put themselves out in the shower. So it makes them not using it even more strange. I end up putting the outdoor shower outside for them or having to cheat their needs. But I'd like them to shower like normal. I do play with mods and I'm on pc. If anyone know how to fix this that be great. If you need more information let me know. Thanks.
sims 3 game launcher not working mac os tahoe 26.1
Hello, ive seen alot of discussion on the launcher having a system failure when downloading .sims3pack cc. so i deleted all of them. But, I have tried downloading packages as normal and it still hasn'[t worked! I have redone the framework for a new mods folder and yata yata, but still nothing. Deleted everything from the cache, and deleted my sims 3 folder and started over. Is there any solution? i have scrolled through reddit for hours but nothing has worked.
I WANT A REFUND.
I have bought the Sims 3 on the 27th along with 10 packs thinking it would be as smooth and easy Sims 4. This game is unplayable!!! I have done all the troubleshooting on your website and with Chat gpt, 7 hours troubleshooting, it doesn't matters how many files cache are deleted, how many times I repaired it, how many times I have unistalled it and installed it, how many Microsoft processing systems I have downloaded, IT. DOESN'T. WORK!! I WANT MY MONEY BACK!! I will just go back to the Sims 4 l, with the money I can buy more packs. I thought the Sims 3 would be fun 'cause it has more things than the Sims 4, but oh my Lord, the headache it has gave me these nights of troubleshootings is not worthy, please refund me for the unplayable game you EA have sold me. Recently have gotten back into playing Sims 3. I have played multiple saves and multiple families. And every family with teens, I've had issues with graduating from high school. I've played with and without mods. Regardless of what I try I cant get graduation to pop up. I know it happens after the teen ages up and usually happens on the weekend. I've tried googling for help but have had no success. Is it a lost cause or is there something that will fix it. Everything else that happens at city hall seems to work fine. I just don't wanna keep having my teens not graduate. Can anyone help. Thanks in advance. Let me know if you need more info. Sorry if this problem is posted already.
Traveler
Does anyone know what settings to put nraas Traveler on so that the gameplay is not different? For example, at University it caused the grocery and bookstore, diner etc to have options to buy a partnership and my sim rolled wishes to join the careers associated with them which they would not normally until they got home. The business partnership also only normally happened at home. Tourists had been turned off in Register but another cohort of non-student townies appeared around the place. I can see there is a setting to hide the other worlds in the World Adventure travel booking interface. I can also see there is a setting for the travel cost. I don't know what it was normally, does anyone? I want that to be normal. As well as the limitations of how long you have to wait until travelling again, and also remove the option of travelling between WA destinations and university, otherwise they roll wishes about it when they could be rolling wishes that are more relevant and useful to where they are. The only reason I have it is because I was advised I need it to avoid the EA travel code from breaking my game. I have had sims return home where a toddler was floating up in the clouds before and things have become stuck and needing to be reset after travelling. I assume those things were caused by the buggy travel code. I also have Error Trap and Overwatch. I thought they would be enough, but apparently its necessary to also have Traveler. Is there a version of Traveler that only has the code fixing part of it and none of the gameplay altering parts?
sim 3 file nuked itself, is recovery possible?
hey everyone! so earlier i was playing my save on the sims 3 and every thing was normal. my sim had just finished her last semester at university and was heading back home. then the loading screen popped up, and when the game came to, my task bar was empty and my sim just vanished. my entire save file was wiped clean like as if i had started a new save. this is very frustrating and i am not familiar with sims 3 bugs but is this a common issue? i just want my sim to come back, i would really hate to have to restart her entire career all over again and have to rebuild all of her skills. i also literally just bought this game YESTERDAY, and i was so excited to play it. ive already tried moving my files around to see if i could find the original game file, but no luck. i even deleted my most recent save hoping that it would trigger the previous one to load. still, nothing. when i load up the game now, it just shows an empty household. if anyone knows a way to fix this, please share! i run the sims 3 on my macbook and really only have had minor issues with it up until now.
