How to install Sims 3 on Windows 8
I purchased The sims 3 starter pack. I put "The Sims 3 disk in and nothing happened. No autorun install popped up so I manually went into the cd drive and opened the sims 3 file and clicked on setup....

VERY EASY FIX!!!!
You will first need to download and install Origin. Its a free very common game client that runs all EA sponsored games including Sims 3
-once Origin is installed create account (very simple)
-log in
-in the top left click on the Origin drop down menu
>ADD GAME
>REDEEM PRODUCT CODE
>enter the code that came with your Sims 3 game
your download will begin
run game
updates will download and BOOM your done. easy as that
