You can, but it's better not to since you always have to update them with new patches.


What I do is keep all of my mods in a folder just for mods and merge just the mods. Then when I have to update any mods I update to that folder and use S3PE to make a new "merged mods.package" file. In other words, I don't merge mods with any other CC but I do merge all of the mods I use into one mods-only merged file.
