@puzzlezaddict wrote:@RFrappuccino The 64-bit version shouldn't be hidden, but it doesn't always get granted automatically when registering a copy of the game from another source. In this case, you'd need to contact EA customer support and ask that the "entitlements" for the 64-bit versions of the base game and any packs you own be added to your account. This is simple for a support rep to do once they understand the issue. If you don't get anywhere with support, let me know.
If you'd rather stick with the 32-bit version, please test the version of the Super Patch I linked and see whether it works.
Thank you for your help, I contacted EA customer support and also tried your super pack. I got the Starter pack for the Sims 3.
Unfortunately, me being a mac user, the launcher now gives a lovely cryptic error message. The error message being "an unknown error occurred"....
I honestly thought I started The Sims, and didn't try to use iTunes. Anyways, Late Night doesn't start the launcher, and the game won't start if I have the loft pack installed with a different, vague, error message.
I tried the 64-bit version (it failed) and the 32-bit version with the SuperPatch installed (failing too) however the 64-bit version didn't give the Game installers, nor asked for the key (weird)
I have not tried 32-bits without the patch, because I want to access online features and have my mf Russian gate. I guess an entire pack is an okay replacement, but i could never replace my Russian fence that I spent with my not at all hard earned sim points that I got for simply typing my code into The Sims 3 Website.
I should have specified that the SuperPatch Worked fine before, but after attempting to install my new expansions...... well it doesn't work for both versions no matter how many times I reinstall the game

It works now…. All I had to delete was my user folder…..

@RFrappuccino I'm glad to hear it worked. The unknown error is inevitable when installing certain packs, including Late Night, in the 32-bit version, but shouldn't happen in the 64-bit version. That's why I didn't go into detail—it was going to be a moot point if you switched to 64-bit anyway.
However, there are other issues with trying to use the same Sims 3 user folder in both versions, which it sounds like you found out for yourself. At any rate, you don't need to patch or otherwise modify the 64-bit version at all now; your content should all install as normal.
