I had barnacle Bay, now I don't

Many years ago I bought Barnacle Bay.

EA 'fixed' my account so that I could play Sims 3, but, now I find I am missing pieces, like Barnacle Bay.

I know I bought it. I remember playing it.

What should I do? How do I ask EA?

Thanks

  • @judy5610  The issue is the account merge.  You should have received a disclaimer saying that Store content couldn't be transferred in the merge; Barnacle Bay functions as Store content even though you bought it with real money.  I don't think there's anything you can do here either, unfortunately, although some people with Island Paradise on their accounts get access to BB for free (it doesn't show as owned but can be downloaded from its product page).  So if you don't own IP and buy it at some later date, check back and see whether BB is available.

If support had the tools to add the world to your account, I'd suggest contacting them again, multiple times if necessary, to request that.  But everything I've read in the last few years makes it clear that's not possible anymore, that support reps simply don't have the tools to do so.

When I go there it gives me the option to buy it or redeem the code.

Obviously I no longer have the code or I would have been playing it and I do not want to buy it again. Seems like a waste of money.

    My history:

This year I started playing The Sims again and started with Sims 4 as that is what EA 'found' for my account.

I last played somewhere around 2017  / 2019 and my computer died. We had problems at home so no Sims for me.

I contacted EA telling them I had some Sims discs but not all and could I stat playing again.

It took them maybe 3 months of my consistent nagging and me finally finding a piece of paper with one of the Sims 3 games for them to agree that I had an old account and give me access to The Sims, both 4 and 3 and, I thought, all the expansion and stuff packs I had bought.

I no longer had that old email address and made a new account and they did merge the old and new accounts.

So, yes, EA combined the old with the new.

    Any other ideas? Please?

    Thanks,
