Every time I have a world older than about four or five weeks, I start experiencing lag issues. I will then get 'freezing' Sims (Sim is frozen, the trees, etc. keep moving), and sometimes I will crash to the desktop for no apparent reason.
More than half of my crashes happen when I'm changing clothes on a Sim (dresser or stylist).
My info:
- 3.06 gHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor
- 4 GB RAM
- Nvidea
- Mac OSX 10.5.8
I have all the EPs and SPs.
On one account I use mods, the largest of which are:
- Twallan's MC and Overwatch
- Twallan's SP and all extra modules
- Twallan's Relativity and Register mods
I also have a lot of smaller mods, mostly things to fix issues like annoying sound or visual effects, and Buzz Digsite Fixer for WA (why can't EA fix their own digsites?)
On that same account I have a moderate to large amount of cc and store content.
NOTE: *On my other account on the same computer I have no mods and no cc and the same issues.*
Very often my freeze issues will result in crashes to the desktop. "Quit and Save" often makes my game crash as well - and in that case very often both the save game and the backup are corrupted an unuseable.
