@crinrict, I took pictures. One is here, it was a major town freeze though, where Mr. froze, his cell phone disappeared, his Mrs disappeared. She was trying to use the computer next to him, after he froze. And she reappeared near the portable stereo seen in the background of the picture past the sofa:

No thought bubbles coming from her, and she had been impatient with him since he was frozen and not moving.
And this image was of a Mr, Mrs, and toddler, right after they disappeared. Not one has a thought bubble:

It's just a yard. Yet he had gone to pick up the mail after that. And Mrs reappeared on her own. I haven't had invisible townspeople that I know of, as they wouldn't be seen. And I haven't seen any thought clouds walking down the street on their own.
There was something else that happened too. When I moved the family from the smaller house to the larger one, the painting on the easel disappeared. But it was still there as the sim continued to paint the invisible painting. After awhile it said it was done. So I had the sim take the painting. And then I dragged it back out of their inventory to put it on the wall and frame it. And it showed up visible again.
And the first picture I posted in this thread, #200 shows Mr holding on to an invisible cell phone.
I'm still running epic lifespan, but I'm keeping aging on. I began to wonder if that was part of the problem. I also discovered that it was a life plant seed that had been preventing one of the sims from going to the store. That seed bug seems to have been fixed. I haven't had it for awhile.
