Hi 45rpm and Nicki. That's exactly right - there are enough players whose game still works (or works well enough, at least, for them to still enjoy playing) who will keep buying the EPs and SPs and things from the Store. EA rakes in more and more money and has no real incentive to fix these bugs. I saw someone on another thread trying to organise a boycott of EA goods but only people with bugs are going to want to do that - after all, if my game worked well then I'd be happily anticipating buying the new EP.
I feel that all I can really do at this point is keep testing the game as best I can and reporting my findings here, not give any of my own money to EA, try writing a letter of complaint perhaps.
It is possible that a patch will come and rescue our games... but it might be a while. It is also possible, I think, that the new EP or the ever increasing amount of Sims 3 content will break more and more players' games, in which case we may reach a tipping point and then EA will have to take notice. Looks like we are not yet there though.
