I'm thinking that crashing issue a lot of users were seeing today has something to do with an EA Server. You can put overwatch back. Did you delete everything ? If so you might need to reinstall the resource.cfg as well.
@caspinwall: SP was my first. I was using Indie Stone before that for after Patch 1.46 my town went from a populations of over 100 Sims down to 11 (8 of which were in my household). I was really sad when Indie Stone was discontinued and really thank twallan for picking it up. He made it so much better. SP is a huge mod and it could be responsible of Lags. The SPs extensions are injector mods. Read twallan's instructions on how to remove properly.
