I have read through the most of the posts here and found that some problems are in my game but some are not.
I installed the 2 latest patches yesterday, from base game 1.15 to 1.19, I have World adventures, Ambitions and Fast lane, no Late night. The EA Dowload manager is up to date.
I have 8 mods but not the big ones. 60 files in total in the mods/packages folder and 61 sim packs in Downloads, mostly from the store. Before the patches the game went well so I believe that these are all fine. Unfortunately, I installed them…
The problem started with „the launcher has stopped working” error message, but the game started inspite of this. In a few sim hours my sims got frozen and disappeared. First the visitors then all the 5 members of the household. "Resetsim" could not help. At the end they were lying on top of the bed cover, they could not sleep. I got upset and quit without saving. Two times.
I didn't want to see that family suffering so I went to a different household and to Sunset Valley today. The family is in Twinbrook, I don't have any other towns.
8 sim days passed without freezing or disappearing sims so I went back to Twinbrook.
Started the game on Saturday at 3:11 AM. The first 2 townies disappeared at 3:17 PM. At 3:25 my sim came out of his workplace (in the middle of his working hours) and got stuck at the door and in his co-workers. I could not send him back to the bistro, or make him to do anything. I went back "home" and the rest of the family was already gone.
What I don't have, is the redundant cars and people gathering and stuck in one place.
In the worst case I will try to install Overwatch but I'm not sure if it could help if I have no cars in the town without owners?
I would rather like to remove the last 2 patches, if that is possible at all?
Would that fix the game? I have saved the sims3 folder before installing the patches.
