Heading home shortly to try this patching malarkey. Am not feeling too happy about it after seeing the super-long thread of problems specific to installing the patch on a Mac. Fingers crossed and backing everything up first.

Nicki, let's hope that not all of those pages of Generations bugs are real - if they are then it might be all-hands-on-deck at EA to fix those, while the older long-standing issues get pushed to the back of the queue. Someone mentioned the excavation bug is still around, for example, don't think that's ever getting fixed!
Since you play without the Overwatch mod so can make a better assessment of the game mod-free, are you noticing anything improving with the new patch?
Even later: Had to download the special Mac patch (if anyone needs this it is in the notice in Technical by the simguru, also can be found in various "patch fail" threads in Mac section) but it didn't take long and now I'm all patched up to version 7.2. No time to play during the week but looking forward to the weekend to see what's what.
