It's weird - I load up game, get lag, quit and reload, same game, less lag. Nothing changed in between. Just luck of the draw it seems.
People on Macs had terrible trouble with that patch. The update just didn't work and killed the launcher so people couldn't open the game. The manual patch worked after teh gurus posted up further help, but then... worked in what way? I don't really care about the memories etc and I'm not bothered about accessing the shop while in the game, I just wanted any bug fixes included in the update. Doesn't seem like there were any. Oh well. Spent a lot of time reading and posting in the Mac section, trying to get people to do the manual patch to restore their launchers - those who contacted EA were getting told the usual rubbish about reinstalling from scratch, which takes forever and gets you no further. The little title about it being a section for their 'beloved Mac folk' seems both inaccurate and patronising.
