I have this glitch, too. I have Story Progression/WooHooer/Debug Enabler/ and Master Controller by NRAS installed. It didn't start until I moved my family out into a house from their apartment. Now one of my sims will get somewhere and immediately snap back to her house right behind the electric gate. It is very frustrating.
On an unusual note, her husband was the film career boss, Matthew something(?) - he never sleeps and he never needs to shower, those two needs are static and they have been since he moved in. Also, since he became an active member of the household, he can no longer go to work.
I hope there is a fix for this soon, Bridgeport is too big to send my sim running everywhere she needs to be.

Edit: Took out the Master Controller, Debug Enabler, and Woohooer and she is able to get to her destination. I'll add them back in one at a time to see which one is the issue here.

Edit 2: I officially can't use the platform tool on a lot. I could use it fine in the penthouse, but on my home lot it crashes my game to desktop.
