I've sent my sim celebrity to China, and it's very difficult to get any adventures. When I click "Check for Adventures" my sim scans the board but then no message pops up (not even the one saying that there are no adventures available at this time). Mind you, I did get the first most basic mission on the first try, and I did manage to get another adventure later on after several tries (one for boulder smashing), but it's still awfully annoying to have to repeat the action over and over again before anything happens.
On the bright side, my sim continues to get limo rides in China the same way he does in Bridgeport, so yay for not having to deal with the awfully slow bicycle :-)
