I have been searching everywhere for a way to download the most recent store patch. I think this will be the thing that finally lets me download my store content properly (following a cataclysmic computer death which has left me scrambling through complex recovery processes trying to salvage as much of my Sims data as I can from the ruins). In short, thank you! Thank you, thank you, thank you, for the love of God thank you!
