I was just over at the German forum trying to figure out what the problem was but did not find the post I was referring to. I'll try this tomorrow, promised.
@Lynds356: Could you posts some pics so we know which shoes/boots you are talking about ?
EDIT: Got an answer in the german forum. I'll try tomorrow myself. It seems that if you recolor an item with that pattern, it reverts back to the original colors.
