12 years agomartial arts tournament
everytime i challenge someone to a tournament over the phone nothing happens. am i missing something? what else do i have to do?
@Angleeyes12 The problem may be that the game as assigned a role sim, like the special merchant or one of the cash register attendants, as the next opponent. In that case, the sim would never be free and available to spar. This wouldn't have anything to do with corruption. Most players who have mods will use them to change opponents when a problem like this occurs, but I'm not sure how to do it otherwise... except, maybe if you evict the role sim's household in Edit Town, they'll eventually disappear from the game and be replaced by someone else. I guess you could also "resettle" them in your hometown, in which case the game would probably roll you a new martial arts opponent when you returned to China.
However, it sounds like your game is in fact corrupt to some extent. The stuck bills in inventory and the inability to click the mailbox are both worryiing. This could have happened for any number of reasons, but deleting a sim can cause all kinds of problems. Since you've already done a factory reset/clean folder, the other thing to try is to evict your sim in Edit Town, save the house to the bin, bulldoze the lot, place the house again, and move your sim back in. If you do it in one Edit Town session without saving your sim to the bin, he'll keep his job and relationships but lose his opportunities and promised wishes. It's a good way to get rid of problems with the lot as well as some types of sim corruption.
What if I evict my main character in my home world move him to another lot then try to send him back to China, iv tryed this trick and no-Luck,..... ☹️
I kinda got lost when you said my character would be replaced you mean my Real-Character the one I’m mainly playing?....
@Angleeyes12 When I was talking about the game replacing a sim, I meant your sim's next martial arts opponent—the one that's never available. If you either remove this sim from your save or move them out of China, the game will (probably, hopefully) roll a new opponent for your main sim the next time you visit China. Again, shift-click deleting a sim is always a bad idea, but evicting one in Edit Town and then not placing the sim in a new house can make that sim disappear, eventually. Or you could move that sim to your homeworld.
Now that I think about it, though, probably the easiest thing to do is to make friends with this opponent and ask them to move in with your own sim. (You can kick them out later.) But once a part of your household, that sim should no longer be eligible to be a martial arts opponent, and will definitely lose the job that was making them unavailable all day. So the game should roll a new opponent for your sim within a day or two (again, hopefully), and you can continue your sim's pursuit of his lifetime wish.
If you can't figure out which sim is supposed to be the opponent, try clicking on each sim that's tending a register in town. Those are the ones who would be unavailable all day, every day.
P.S. I saw your other post just now. Are you having another issue as well? If so, please describe precisely what's happening and how you're trying to solve the problem.
How do you evict a character in China? That makes no since you can’t control those households???,.... Also who is the main apar tournament coordinator your telling me to delete I’m contfused, my sims next my sim's next martial arts opponent never shows up because the scedualer over their the phone tells me he can’t make it if your talking about evicting the Spar-Cordinator how do we know who he is? Because were the ones who are calling him on the phone so how do we know?....
@Angleeyes12 I'm not talking about a coordinator, I'm talking about the opponent who's never available. Edit Town should work the same way in China as it does in your homeworld. Click on the tag of the house where the martial arts opponent lives. Select "evict." Don't place the household anywhere else.
The other process I was describing also applies to the opponent. Make friends with that sim. Ask to move in. Add that sim to your main household. He or she will no longer be eligible to be a tournament opponent, so the game will have to assign a new one. Then you can move that sim out again, if you want.
P.S. Don't delete anyone.
