@bev6usa Please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post. Hit Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box in the lower-left corner of the screen, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply here by clicking the Browse button next to the paper clip icon.
Please also let me know what world(s) you're playing in, and whether you use mods or custom content. It's fine if you do; I just need to know.

I do use custom content and I'm playing world Isla Paradiso. Sims 3 into the future
@bev6usa If you're willing to use mods, try adding this one:
https://modthesims.info/d/665907/reduce-remove-lag-caused-by-houseboats.html
It doesn't fix everything about Isla Paradiso but helps a lot. Isla Paradiso itself is somewhat broken—it needs extra help to make it work without crashing. If the mod above isn't enough, more mods can help further, as can some edits to the world itself. Let me know if you want more information about either or both.
Your dxdiag doesn't show any issues that need to be addressed, and the Sims 4 crashes just look like game issues, not computer problems.
