Dover1104 Please try downloading the content with a different browser, one where you haven't installed any adblockers or other utilities. Firefox works well with the Store in general.
If that alone doesn't help, rename or move the Sims 3 folder in Documents > Electronic Arts and open the launcher to create a new one. (This will remove, but not delete, your saves and other user data, all of which can be restored later.) Try downloading one Store item into the new folder and see whether it works.
