No class schedule

Hi all,

I was having the same issue with no class schedule showing up. The fix that worked for me was taking out my whole entire mod folder. Restarted the game dropped out of uni and then reapplied and when she returned she finally had a schedule. Hope this helps some of you :-)

Well, bye bye mods, I will miss ya, but I'd rather be able to play my expensive game than have Mods messing it up. Sad, but I gotta do what I gotta do. :(


I get to keep my Mods. Whoever said to remove the traveler mod, thank you. My Class schedule wasn't showing up but after I took it out, everything showed up like it was supposed to. :mrgreen:

Idk what to do, I'm at wits end.
I've tried 5 sims, I've tried having my mods out, I even took out my whole ea folder..Nothing's worked.

I know for some people this has got to be so frustrating - particularly if you don't use mods, or only use Store content. I hope EA gets it sorted soon and you are able to play.

But for the rest of you - EVERY SINGLE TIME an EP comes out you are supposed to remove ALL of your mods. And EVERY SINGLE TIME, people don't, get problems and after removing their mods, doh! everything works. Seriously, people?

And people still download from the Exchange? WITHOUT using Custard? Sigh.

I know a LOT of people don't remove their mods...And that's why some people are reporting problems. This problem tho is NOT related to mods as I removed mine, before the install.
I also cleared all my caches to ensure the mod hadn't left any traces.

I had to wait for my download and I was so upset I can't even tell you - I don't even want to think about having the game and a basic feature not working. I really hope they fix it for you soon.

I've linked this thread in the bug thread so hopefully we get more people answering the questions by a GURU on page 3.

Traveler is a likely culprit for this. So take that out AND DELETE YOUR CACHE FILES!!! It's not enough to just take the mods folder out.

Best is to rename your folder in documents to thesims3_EPBackup and let the game create a new one prior to installing the EP. You can put your stuff back folder by folder. Here's info what folder does what: User Files Explained. You won't loose anything, it's still in the folder you made when you renamed.

Always test a new EP on a new game. This does not mean you can't return to your old savegame or that the progress there is lost, it's just to get a feeling what are bugs, what are mods or what is savegame corruption. You can even use your old savegame. Just back it up before you install the EP so you can go back if anything screws up.

Those who want to use CC and Mods need to educate themselves what they need to do when an new Patch/EP comes out. Updated does not mean free of errors in case of Mods. There are many bugs this game has - I'm the last person to deny that - but unless you remove the mods correctly that they are not present at all anymore, we can't say everything is an EA problem. If we do, everything gets just dismissed as mod bug (as the leaves staying in spring one) and never fixed.

Help by playing on a clean folder. Please.

lol I can relate to you about downloading from the exchange without using custard.
I just had a problem with the school icon not showing up in the panel.
I had taken my mods folder out when I downloaded the game (Uni) & put it back in when I went to play the game.
But I learned that the problem I was having with the icon is from the traveler mod.
The mod made it so the game recognized her as being on a vacation or something of sorts.
I took that mod out. I don't have problems with the other mods that I know of yet, but if I do I will take the whole folder out.
But now I shall see where the game goes from here. She never took any classes & I got a message saying the term is over.
**Shrug** I'll see what happens next term.
