No option to update in sims 3 launcher!!

I've already tried the manual patch since that was honestly the only solution I could find. But, when I opened it in the Admin account, it gave me a message saying "Couldn't detect any installed version of Sims 3" which is weird, because I just bought and installed The Sims 3. I have Windows 8 (64 bits) and I did search to see if it was compatible. It said it worked for lots of people with windows 8. I tried repairing the game too, but that didn't work either. Can anyone suggest anything I can do?!

Pictures show proof.

@chevalery17  All patching will be done by Origin. Do not manually patch the game. The game should run under Windows 8. Did you upgrade Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 (it's free)? Did the game ever run at least once? Some people have reported having to run the game in the compatibility mode (don't know which one). Mine runs on windows 10 so it should run on Win 8. Did you get any error messages? I see the launcher works and the version is correct. Where did you buy the game? Dose the game show in Origin - my game library? The game has to be activated and run once successfully for the user files to be created.
