No Sound Whatsoever in Sims 3 & 4

I know, I know. You've all heard this one before. I tried deleting the .config files you all were screaming about in both games, but there is no sound still. In The Sims 3, I even set my audio settings to not defocus, and add 5.1 Surround Sound. Yes,I have mods. And yes, I even deleted them to see if it would work. No effect. The audio was there with mods, too. I added them back since. No 'Mute' options are selected in either game, and the computer I'm using is my mother's, as it is the only working computer that is not beyond nor below the game's limits. This computer is a Windows 8. Someone, anyone PLEASE answer soon! I think this happened since the computer was fixed sometime in what I think was September...

Well, your processor is a bit low but as you have an AMD, I'm not really that savy about it.

I think the people at the official forum can help you better with it as you also have a thread there (and one in Sims 4).

Your sound drivers are from 2013 so, checking for newer ones might help or uninstalling and reinstalling them.

Other than that, I hope the techy people at the official forum can help you further

have you tried clicking on your volume button on the bottom right of your screen on your task bar, near the time. once you've done that, click mixer. then, find the sims 3 (must be running the sims 3) and change the volume for the sims 3
