Orgin Conten and Decor Pack Redemption Codes

I would like to know why I had to contact Orgin (two times) to redeem both of my extra packs.

Anytime I would try to use the code (before I contacted Orgin) I received the "Invalid Code" message. I did not realize there were two packs, so when I contacted Orgin to fix the Decor pack (thinking it was the pack with the pea shooter), as soon as the rep came back from doing something while I was on hold, I was able to redeem the pack. JOY!

Now I was going to buy my pea shooter in game, but unfortunately I found out I did not redeem the right pack to purchase this lovely gift. So back to my email and YAY there is the email with the code to redeem the content pack.

Follow the link (game is obviously already registered because I've redeemed the Decor pack after help from Orgin) enter the code, and BOO, invalid code. Try three more times, because maybe just maybe each time will be the magic time... nope. Launch the Orgin Live Chat system and wait for 18 plus minutes to have a rep help me. Again, they place me on chat hold, go into the background and work there magic, come back tell me to redeem the code and JOY it works... but BOO, because I've wasted an hour waiting on chat to redeem to content packs that should have taken no more than 10 minutes to redeem, installation and launching game included.

Why did I have to contact Orgin to redeem these codes?
