That patch is here and there are actually lots of fixes. The manual Patch can be downloaded here: Patch 1.29 (850 MB) I myself will not continue to compile this thread. See page 119 for details....

@Zeekslider: Hm, however, the person who I asked if they removed and replaced the stairs earlier said that didn't work.
It is also my understanding that there are some CC spiral stairs out there, and with CC now not working properly after this patch, it is possible that the full error the person told you about may be linked to third party CC.
I'll test the Spiral Stairs again with Pets, because I want to know if they programmed in animation for dogs and cats when they use them.
