OK, Crinrict, I just went to test some of the bugs from the patch in my game.
I have the latest patch installed, but not the pets expansion. I am running a PC, Lenovo with Nvidia GeForce GT 555M graphics card with dedicated graphics on. I have all eps and stuff packs installed except pets. I have my store content installed, no other cc and no mods. I let the patch create a new Sims 3 folder, but added back my saves and installed worlds and store content. Here are my results:
I opened up a saved game and my spiral stair cases are not functioning in the way they had been. The sims could use them to get up, but not down. If I added a new one to an area where no objects, walls, or fence were next to the stair tiles, then the sims could use it to get down or childish/teenager/child could slide down. No other sim had interactions with it other than slide down. This is very irritating because these stairs were designed for tight spaces, it doesn't look good or work according to it's design if it has to be placed away from walls to be properly used.
I opened a new save, chose Hidden Springs (prob. irrelevant) and the Cho family. I replaced their stairs with spiral, I walled in on all sides that weren't where the sims enters on top and bottom. Sims could go up, but not down (or slide down). Then I removed the one wall closes to the tread (where the handrail starts at top) and then they were both able to go down and slide down. So, current saves are having issues with spirals that new games are not.
I used the same family to try out the crib that was already in the house. I didn't notice any issues. I was able to interact with the crib to place child in and to hold child once they were in the crib.
My collection helper in my current save was working correctly. Will try in Appaloosa when I install if I get the chance. (will have to figure out the cheat to get it)
Also, I had a fishing bug. In a current save, I had a household with 4 sims with fishing skill. All could fish and fish with bait, but when they caught something it did not show what they caught as they held it, but it appeared in inventory and/or popup memory. I tried this in a new game as well with the Bayless family in Twinbrook because the father has a pretty decent fishing skill, he was also able to fish and fish with bait, but again the fish he caught and held up were not shown, but would appear in inventory and memory.
I did not try anything else (such as dog food issues), but am going to install the expansion now. I really hope the fishing and spiral staircase bugs get fixed asap because they are going to be really obnoxious.
