@uncreativeirene It should be perfectly fine to install these pets; this seems like a limitation of Custard rather than a problem with the pets themselves. But I'm not totally sure they'll show up in-game. And I'd suggest testing in a clean user folder, just to be on the safe side. Move or rename the current Sims 3 folder, open the launcher to spawn a new one, move the cleaned Sims3Pack to the new folder, install the horse, and see whether it loads in-game.
If the horse does show up, it will be considered a horse and not a sim. While it's possible Custard is corrupting some of the pet-related data, there's no way it could remake a pet into a human sim, so either the horse loads as a horse or not at all.
